MediPix app for iPhone and iPad

MediPix is a Photography App that helps Medical Professionals to take patient images on their Phone and then emails the images to one or more email addresses. It facilitates data protection compliance by automatically deleting the sensitive patient data from the mobile device once it has been sent.
Using MediPix, one can, quickly and easily, take images of a patient and their condition.
MediPix prompts users for various levels of consent, which has to be given by the patient prior to photography taking place. This level of consent is noted in the email generated by the app.
MediPix then, using the phones email software, sends the images to a predetermined email address/addresses and then the images is automatically deleted from the iPhone. It is recommended that users link their workplace based email to their phone and pre-set another or the same workplace based email as the standardised recipient email address. Responsibility for the storage of the e-mail received will rest with the recipient.
In order to assist with effective traceability and filing the Medipix app also prompts users to photograph patient information from the patients chart, name, patient number etc.
A Subject line and a Notes and Comments pane are also included to allow for further details to be recorded.
It is not intended that the Medipix app replace a Clinical Photography Department, it is simply designed to allow for photography to be conducted and to assist Medical Professionals recording patient conditions without retaining the sensitive patient data on the mobile device.
